Cyclists are welcome at Greenlooms Cottage. There is secure storage for your bikes, and a wash-down area with a hose for the more enterprising. Best of all, you can have dinner with us - so you won't have to venture out again once you're here!
Borrow our bikes
We have a couple of bikes at Greenlooms Cottage just ready and waiting for you to use. You don’t have to book – just ask us when you get here. Cycling is an excellent way to see our countryside - the roads are mostly small and quiet, so you won't have to run the gauntlet of fast-moving cars.
The bikes are maintained in good condition, and helmets, panniers and maps are provided.
Chester - Cycle City
Chester is one of the twelve 'Cycling Cities & Towns', which have set out to embrace pedal power. The aim is to find ways of making city cycling popular once again, just as it is in many towns on the Continent.
There are several cycle routes across the city, and there is even an online cycle route planner. Several different Sustrans routes cross Chester – so there’s no excuse for sticking to the car!
