From Chester

  1. Take the A41 south, following signs for Whitchurch. The speed limit steps up from 30mph to 40 mph after you pass the Cheshire Cat pub on your left. You’ll pass a BP garage on your left, and cross a small crossroads with Moor Lane going off to the left, Rowton Lane to the right.
  2. Keep going for ¼ mile and take the next turn to the left into Eggbridge Lane, signposted ‘Waverton’, by White House Antiques.
  3. Stay on this road, which becomes Guy Lane as you reach the middle of Waverton village.
  4. Carry on for another mile, passing the famous Crocky Trail on your left, and turn right into Martin’s Lane.
  5. After half a mile you will reach Greenlooms Cottage.
  6. Don’t be seduced by Greenlooms Cottages and Greenlooms Farm which you will pass on your way here – they are not us!
