See, Do and Eat!
Cheshire is a fascinating place to visit. It's history as a wealthy farming area, and it's close proximity to the wealthy industrial areas of Merseyside and North Wales, have created an attractive countryside. The famous Cheshire Plain rolls away between the lovely Cambrian Hills to the west, and the little-known but spectacular Peckforton Hills, with Beeston and Peckforton Castles.
We've set out below a few of the places we think you’ll appreciate knowing about - but please ask us if you'd like any suggestions about things to see and do.
If you’re used to driving in congested urban areas, bear in mind that the traffic is much lighter around here, and that you can cover several miles quite easily. Even Chester is easy to drive into, although parking can be a problem – the park-and-ride scheme is a good alternative. Parking is free in all municipal car parks after 3pm.
